Tell me a little about Lytle...

Home of the Lytle Pirates, Lytle, Texas is conveniently located approximately 23 miles southwest of San Antonio.  It sits directly on IH-35 and its close proximity to roadways 1604, 410, 90, 281 and 37 make it a unique location to experience small town living while having immediate access to San Antonio and surrounding regional communities.

Seated in Atascosa, Bexar, and Medina counties (Tri-County Hub), Lytle has a population of 2,492 according to the 2010 census. Recent estimates have the population currently at 2,800.  It is part of the San Antonio Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Lytle was founded in 1882 by a cattleman named Captain John T. Lytle, after a railroad station was established in the area.  It was later incorporated on October 27, 1951.
